World Quizzing Championships

The World Quizzing Championships are, quite simply, the biggest and best quiz on the planet!

Over 2,800 quizzers from 45 countries took part in the 2019 WQC, with 100 venues around the world hosting competitors over the course of the first Saturday in June. The championship quiz comprises 240 questions split across eight categories (Culture, Entertainment, History, Lifestyle, Media, Sciences, Sport & Games, and World) answered over the course of two hours.

With the questions set by an international committee, it is the ultimate test of the breadth of your knowledge, both geographically and in every other respect. But no matter what level you are quizzing at, no other event gives you the opportunity to see how you stack up against quizzers from as far afield as Japan, New Zealand and Madagascar.

At British venues, the main quiz is traditionally followed by Last Man Standing (where you can take on other quizzers head-to-head in a possibly recognisable format) and the long-running Champion Music Quiz, where the prize is writing the questions next year! Entry is open to anyone, so if you’d like to give it a go, watch out for details at:
